Earth Medicine ~ Playing in the Dirt is Therapeutic

This is my dream garden/outdoor space

I've had a wonderfully productive day today and enjoy probably the warmest day we will have for the rest of the year. It was over 30 C out there today and I mowed and trimmed the lawn and planted some new seeds for next year that I hope take as well as extended my front flower garden and added another day lily. I have 3 in the front one at each end and one in the middle and they are all different colours. I also planted some poppies accidentally all over the neighbours lawn too when my bag of seeds blew away in the breeze, oh well, a gift from mother nature.  I so look forward to see what blooms and grows when the springtime comes. I planted some poppies and a variety of hollyhocks of various colours all over as well as a wonderfully smelly one with white flowers that I hope take and grow. I planted some lilacs and some rhubarb and even some mint for the girl next door who says she is a terrible gardener and mine are so beautiful. In the springtime I plan to make some palate beds and cover them with chicken wire to keep the deer out as best I can.  It is nearly the first day of Autumn and here I am planning for spring. What a forward thinker lol. I guess the farmers do that too as the work is never done.

It is so therapeutic to play in the dirt and each year I am trying to add more garden space and grow more vegetables as I learn what and how to grow things. I have enjoyed fresh lettuce and kale most of the summer and only now am having to buy it from the farmers market or co-op and since I so prefer it to store bought organic I have bought a small covered greenhouse and shall attempt to grow some greens and tomatoes in my front window this winter. It gets sun all day and because it is covered and secure, Pepé should keep out of it ( off it might be a challenge lol) and not use it as his litter box. I am looking forward to seeing what will happen and will be setting that up next week. It is as close as I can get this indoor dream kitchen lol. 

The girls played outside for about 3 hours while I gardened so they got plenty of grounding time as well. Animals need to touch the earth as much humans do, so make sure that your fir babies get plenty of outside time while they can. Pixie is so cute and has no fear of machines which make the weed eating part a bit challenging as she wanted to be right there and play with it lol. I did manage to get it done without any injuries so this is good. Bella keeps a healthy boundary between and any equipment for some reason lol. 

I also managed to get a lot of writing done and submitted my article for the predictions edition of the Sedona Journal. As well I have an article coming out in the next Issues Magazine which is kind of cool as it was a surprise. I thought she wanted something for the issue after that as this one is coming out very soon. Nice when it is unexpected  and easy too.

All is well and all is good. It is sometimes hard to keep your focus and your drive when there is a lot of energy floating around out there in the world and when you take the time to play in the dirt, it is not only very grounding, it is healing.

Earth Day is Every Day!

Earth Day is April 22 ~ I should say that it is the day set aside for Earthday activities. Every day is really earth day, or earth hour, as we spend everyday that we are in physicality on the earth. Every day each of us should do activities that assist mother earth, not just one or two days a year. This is a common thought with many of us lightworkers.  I feel that earth day is more for those who are not really thinking about the importance of this beautiful planet to humankind.

We are of the earth. Each one of us needs to feel that connection to truly understand it. Those that don't feel it are here for their own reasons. We must learn to unconditionally accept that and move on. We need to worry about ourselves and what each of us is doing everyday to make this a better place. To be world servers without expecting anyone else to do the same. We must serve from the perspective of pure joy for ourselves. This is how the planet is changed. By each one of us being that change we wish to be in the world and focusing on ourselves and the legacy we choose to leave behind when we are gone. Each one of us has our own intregal part of the whole. We can only influence others by walking our talk and talking our walk. This becomes even more obvious as we watch the children who are now upon the earth. They do not learn from 'Do as I say', they learn from thier elders by example.

Remember that everyday is Earth Day, join in the fun of the Earth Day experience. Visit a nature center, or walk in the parks, the shores, and the hiking trails. Bring along a bag to pick up garbage and most certainly clean up after yourself.

We have been gifted with a most beautiful place to experience an earth journey on, let us take great care of her for our childrens childrens, children. For we have only borrowed her for a short time.

a beautiful day

Today was such a beautiful morning here in the interior of British Columbia. As I walked around with Bella there were such amazing smells and sights. The sun was shinning so beautifully, all the colours of the trees were alive. I've not spend a fall in the Cariboo for about 28 years, and had forgotten how truly beautiful it is here. There were oranges, reds, greens, yellows and beautiful silver...I've not seen a silver birch in the fall in a long time and had forgotten how beautiful they are and what a lovely contrast to the trees that were around the park we walk in everyday.  The smells outside were divine, and added so much to my scent-ual walk. Someone was canning pickles and I was drying herbs in my dehydrator and someone was baking bread. It was so amazing and beautiful and sunny and warm, that I just had to share it with everyone.

I am reminded how truly beautiful these moments are...when all the senses are stimulated and in full bloom. Take a moment out of your day to just enjoy the beauty that surround you. Feel the beautiful sun, and spend a few moments in the energy of a tree. Feel the beautiful mother earth beneath your feet and be in that moment. It is truly rejuvenating.

Our Shifting Times

It seems that much has been shifting on the earth plane. The Shift Radio is being closed down by my partners without the option for me to take it over, therefore a group of us are starting a new radio station. We felt there is a need for a venue that is dedicated solely to the shifting energy we are currently experiencing in this realm. That being said we are looking for people who have a message to share. If you love to share and teach and have something you feel is of value to the mind, body and spirit evolution, please step forward and join our family. The new radio station will be under Shifting Times Radio www.shiftingtimesradio.com and is just starting out, so it isn't quite ready yet. In the meantime we will broadcast through blog-talk radio - not my favourite, however we can continue to provide programs until the new one is ready. As well, I am starting up Shifting Times Magazine and am looking for articles and writers and topics that are of interest and assistance during these Shifting Times. see www.shiftingtimesmagazine.com soon.

So, these are some of the huge shifts that have been happening over the past month. It seems that many people are abandoning projects and moving in a different direction. I've received many requests for help in this area, most of the time the Angels say to not give up. It is the energy that is surrounding you now that is causing this 'giving up' energy. However they also say if it isn't working and it is not your passion, then release it and move on. If it is something of your heart, don't give up. If it is part of what makes your heart sing, then persevere, if it isn't, then it is trying to die its natural death and let it go. So, as we move into the energy of completion, we are certainly seeing a fair share of that happening.

It is important to somehow be in your passion. Even if it is just as a hobby, part of you must be doing something at this time that speaks to your soul. If there is nothing that speaks to your soul right now, then you are probably feeling isolated, lonely and depressed. Each of us can find a way to be in service that speaks from our heart center and that helps to shift our world.

Wise Women's Festival happens this month in Naramata (near Penticton). Come and join this gathering of spiritually minded souls dancing, laughing, healing and empowering ourselves with over 50 workshops, a healing oasis, store and more.  I am offering a workshop and two sunrise ceremonies. Gatherings such as these are a wonderful opportunity to be with like minded people, expand your Body, Soul and Spirit, and just be in the splendor of nature. Sharon's Take May 2010

We had wonderful April weather here, which meant that I had the opportunity to enjoy some meditations outside near the beautifully blooming Mountain Ash in my yard with the sun streaming down. A very energizing experience indeed!


I received lots of emails from listeners who had to work extra hard at keeping there energy up during the past month, part of the challenge of the lower energy and being sensitive - A meditation under a tree will always do wonders in assisting with finding your balance and getting grounded again.

May seems have the energy of fluctuation.  The Photon energy (see the kirael.com newsletter) is going from low at the beginning of the month, to high at the end, giving us a smorgasbord of up and down in between. An absolutely perfect way to work with this energy is Join the Munay Ki workshop here in Williams Lake at the end of the month. And, explore the vortex energy that is available here as a bonus. I have some bedrooms available at Sharon's Bed and Breakfast for anyone who wants to join us from out of town. This will be a fantastic weekend retreat... Green Man Message

GREEN MAN through Sharon Taphorn April 20, 2010

Bringing me into your garden and into your life can bring in wondrous life force energy to your plants, particularly the ones you ingest. Work with the nature angels and the faerie worlds to enhance your gardens in a more natural way and we will help it grow and prosper, and with that some knowledge that you can use this energy in all that choose to create. We can fill your desires with this same life force energy from germination to flourish and become a bountyful garden indeed.

Create a ceremony with your gardens as you plan, and prepare then plant. Say an invocation each day and time you work with your plants and gardens and to create from an altered space of awareness. Commune and become one with us and you will see the results in your garden as well as in your life. Create this sacred space and you will so enjoy the rewards of the offerings from your garden. Tend it with love and be sure to leave offerings in a special corner for the insect realm and together we shall create beauty and sustenance and beautiful life force energy. So let us create create create, then watch as things bloom and glow with splendor.

Sharon's Take - October 2009

The Angels have shared that October brings about Opportunity, Creativity and Trust. It is a creator energy month and with mercury retrograde over at the end of September and the photon levels in the 6's most of the month, now is the time to cease the energy and create, create, create!

Angel Reading of the month:

"We are all presented with opportunities and expected to flow with the currents that come our way. Something now is being made available to you and it is up to you to use it to your greatest advantage. Be alert, be aware, and be prepared.

Use your creative potential now. Creativity is an energy for adventure and change. It may herald a new idea, inspiration for a book, an artistic vision or a new project. Let your imagination flow. If you do not know how to channel the force, you may feel restless or dispirited.

So ask your Angels to help you direct your creative energy towards something worthwhile to you. Use common sense and discernment and never give your power to another. Instead put your trust in yourself and the higher energies around you.

So, you are reminded to persevere, for it may be that a door which was previously closed has now been opened. Quiet your mind, your Angel guidance is to increase your trust in the infinite and use your power with joy and wisdom.

As many of you know I am moving up to Williams Lake this month. I have a wonderful home in town that is waiting for Bella and I. I am very much looking forward to using all the tools and techniques I have learned over the past 20 years - since my last move. I am looking forward to being in the country and away from all of the energy that is around the city at this moment. Living next to Olympic Village has been an interesting experiencing in working with energy over the past year as they are preparing the site. I am looking forward to connecting with new friends and old friends & learning to warm myself during the winter.

Special Earth Day Message

Dear Family of Gaia,

Take a moment and notice that there is beauty around you and within you. That is cause enough for celebration. All of the kingdoms of the earth, including humanity, are undergoing great change at this time. That too, is cause for celebration.

The general thought, both conscious and unconscious, traveling through the 'mind of man' at this time is that there is little cause for celebration. Perhaps you will forgive an argument on a day that carries my namesakes, but this is untrue!

The earth celebrates every day in every way and demonstrates this to you so that you will find cause to do the same. Do not allow yourselves to imagine that a changing earth is tantamount to a distress call. Change is the ongoing process of transformation and its acceleration is also cause for celebration even if it takes a form that is unfamiliar to you.

A pause between the inbreath and the outbreath will move your thoughts inward. As you do this notice how far you have come and how much you have grown, perhaps in a very short time. Notice that all of your experiences, both positive and negative, have encouraged you to know yourself and to experience life more fully. The same is true for the earth, and as Gaia sentience I am more aware now than ever before.

Do not struggle against change. Be an advocate for conscious evolution in all things, including thoughts. Unfamiliar moments bring new friends and family forward, another cause for celebration. Do not stir the waters to bring back what is going or gone when you make them (and yourself) still long enough to recognize the new that is already on the horizon.

Celebrate this day on Earth as I do, a day delivered unto itself to be lived in fullness, complete and whole in every way. And know that any day that you name and dedicate to yourself will be one in which Gaia is also in celebration.

Clear Water Clear Water

Since August of last year, several of us around the globe participated in a clear water meditation as a proactive way to assist in clearing a fuel spill in Robson Bight near Vancouver Island. The meditation message went as follows.... 'To gather as many people as we possible can to focus Love and Intent of "Clear Water" and imagine that the whales/dolphins and our other beloved Beings of the Ocean are all safe and in 'Clear Water', that the spill is cleared up quickly and easily.'We wanted to keep the message simple, positive and focused on what we wanted to create. Several of us sent this out to our lists and healing groups around the world... there was an article about how quickly the spill evapourated quickly. I kept working with the 'Clear Water' meditation as I found I enjoyed the time I would spend in the Ocean during my morning meditations. I also would do it everyday when I walked to work or walk the dog on the weekends as I live right beside the Pacific Ocean and cross it when Bella and I walk to work in the Muggle world. Everytime I am near the Ocean I send Love and Gratitude to the Oceans, into the water, I connect with the beings of the ocean...the Love I get back is extraordinary... I almost always get whales and dolphin connections...it is a beautiful way to set your day. I also do it when I am rinsing my hair in the shower. As other oil spills happened, we continued to add them to our group, the Black Sea, San Francisco Harbour... I do it around the world and spots that I know need our particular attention. I sent messages to the marine life that Japan had begun Whale hunting again... I sent them a message to stay away... unless some of them want to go back to the Light... we know that all of oceans need our help (see Garbage Article) ... these are some of the ways I do what I can from here... It gives me such beautiful Love back... I though I would share. We know how a simple 'Love and Thank You' can change water!

We do this 'Clear Water' Meditation at 520 every day, I think most of the group do it in the afternoon, I do it at both times since I am usually doing a meditation at that time anyway. I hope that you join us... I actually heard singing this morning calling me at 510 as I was working on some other things at the time... that was very cool... a choir of beautiful voices singing 'Clear Water, Clear Water,'

a message from the Elvens

During a recent visit to Stanley Park with some lightworker friends, I received this beautiful message from the elven energies in the forest.
The forest was greatly thinned by some hurricane force winds some months back, there is much clean up. There is ton's of energy out there about the 'devastation' to Stanley Park.

The Message for the Elvens was so filled with love, the said...

Do not grieve for the changes to the park, each tree, plant, and twig, made way for the new, completed their cycle and will rejuvenate into something more beautiful. The park was cleared to lighten spots that other will now come to and commune with us, this is as it should be. Much energy needed to be cleared to make way for the new. This is always in Love. So please come and help plant the new energy of Love in our park with us. Play and laugh and love, as it should be. We thank you for sharing this message with others.
