Celebrating the balance of the Equinox

Enjoy the energies of the fall equinox in the northern hemisphere...happy spring to our southern sisters and brothers. This is the day of balance in light and dark on planet earth. Celebrate the balance in your life and seek to find more if this is missing. Take time to nourish your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual selves.

I have just returned from the Wise Woman's Festival in the Okanagan. It was a wonderful gathering of love, friendship and healing. I so enjoyed sharing workshops and morning meditation with everyone as well as spending time with so many wonderful lights that I see at the festivals. We had a lot of newcomers, always a wonderful sign of these shifting times. The depth of the questions asked during my workshops amazed me. It shows how accelerated learning and absorbing ideas has shifted. I love gatherings of spirit and I encourage others to join in and spend time in gatherings of like minded evolving open and loving beings. It truly nourishes the soul.

I spend some time up in Williams Lake before the festival, making plans for the big move next month. Even though I grew up there, I have been in Vancouver for over 27 years...more time than I spent in Williams Lake. It will be an interesting transition. I am looking forward to setting up my home using the principles of feng shui and the tools of clearing etc. Setting up my healing room with colours and energy from scratch as the room is currently unfinished. I met the people who are moving on from my new home. I could feel the love they had put into it and the gentlemen took me around and showed me so of the things that will make my life easier, he was so sweet and cute, sharing with me, I just loved that I had the opportunity to feel the energy and love of those who have been there before me. They are moving farther up north so he is leaving me many of his plants from his garden. I shared with him that I was going to put a farrie garden under the trees and his eyes lite up and he said..that is what I was starting to work on when we decided to move... how cool is that!

Anyway, enjoy the beautiful energy of this day balance.

Mov'in Up....

Well...it all settled and done!

Bella and I are moving up north (I know...Brrrrr) next month. I have been working on this little project for a while as many of you know who follow my blog and radio programs.

This is our new home. I have dreamed so long for a home that was our own, and now that dream has finally manifested into a reality. I look forward to starting out fresh with feng shuing & using all the tricks and tools that I share in my work.

I have been in Vancouver for almost 28 years, and more than 20 of those here next to the ocean. It will be a big change. I love the ocean, and we will miss our daily walks on the ocean. I do have wilderness and parks close to my new home as well as the lake a few minutes away.

It is all happening very fast and I will be up there around October 8th... and looking forward to all the changes and new creations...

Sharon's Take - September 2009

Enjoy all of the completions you accomplish this month. We have a mercury retrograde happening September 7th to 29th, so this is the perfect time to go over those things that may not be complete.

"This time, the cycle will be about rethinking your priorities and values. If you feel you are living your life according to others' wants and needs, you will feel strongly about finding a new way to bring things into a greater sense of balance. You will feel pressured to make time and space for your own needs, or risk feeling frustrated.

Use the next few weeks to be present with how you feel about everything you are doing. Are you doing things out of obligation and responsibility in order to "keep the peace?" Are you ignoring your inner voice, which is telling you what is important for you?

During Mercury Retrograde, everything you encounter is an opportunity to refine or revise what is not flowing. You may find parts of the Retrograde frustrating, yet, it is also a time to create a valuable experience for yourself by consciously slowing down and following intuitive flashes." Alice Inoue www.astrology-fengshui.com. also check out her article on working with the energy of Mercury REtro.

The photon levels are smooth and in the range of the 5's, so that will assist us each in getting the work done without all the roller coasters of energy that we have been shifting through the past several months. Change is still in the air for many as we approach the equinox.

I will be at the Wise Women's Festival in Naramata September 18th to 20th. I hope to see some of you there. I love these gatherings and always look forward to them. I am teaching a workshop, meditations and offering readings on Friday afternoon in the Healing Oasis. Check out the Link for more information.

I received a very interesting reading for the month.... most of the cards talked about clearing the old, making sure that you have done the work. You are energetically attached to everything you have...if you are feeling scattered or ungrounded, it is time to clear away those things which no longer serve you to make room for the new coming in October. Use your Mercury Retrograde wisely. (I am planning to move next month...so this makes my tasks right on for moving forward...more on that to follow as things firm up!)

The rest of the cards were on relationships. On bringing our existing relationships to a new level of love, creating new relationships - especially for those who have been experiencing a bit of dry spell. Love and finding balanced, healthy love is in the air. Again, use the energy of Mercury to assist you in clearing any past judgments, fears, hurts etc, that might be holding you back from experiencing that balance many of us feel are missing. And, make sure you are always working on that most important relationship you have with you.

Many blessings as you journey through September, enjoy the leave changing in the northern hemisphere, flowers blooming in the southern half, and love one and other as you do yourself.

love and blessings, Sharon
