Consciously Creating Your Day Through a Walking Meditation
Starting each day by consciously thinking about the steps that you take and in full awareness of the world around you. It can be a most energizing and revitalizing experience. It can also assist in expanding your senses in all areas of your life as you learn to recognize the earth, the plants, the animals, the birds and the trees from a completely new perspective.
For the next seven days take a walk through a park, a forest, the ocean, a lake or a stream with consciousness and see what a difference this makes in your life.

Steps to Creating Your Walking Meditation
Every day, for at least a week, commit to taking a meditation.
Too often while walking, people are in such a hurry; only walking to go from one point to another and paying no attention to all the wonder and beauty that surrounds them. When one walks with intention and awareness, you begin to see a different world around you.
If you are able to begin your day in such a sacred way, you will find that your entire outlook for that day will change as will your experiences with others.
Start Your Day in a Sacred Way
Preferably take your walk in the morning, out in nature, in the forest, on the shoreline or in a park, as this also offers you clean air to rejuvenate your cells and being. Walk for at least 10 minutes or more.
Begin with a small invocation that opens you up to the earth and expands your awareness, then, take each step with the intention to feel and see more than ever before. Sense the feelings of your feet as they take each step and touch the ground. Close your eyes and listen to the sounds all around you. What do you hear? What do you feel?
If you can walk barefoot upon the earth, take off your shoes and feel her. Feel the energy that she gives and allow for these sensations to permeate your entire being and consciously take each step forward.
